The Cautions Finalists in the American Music Awards

Local band The Cautions are among 50 finalists in a competition sponsored by Coca-Cola and the American Music Awards. The band, which describes itself as a group that writes ''melodious songs that bring back the days of skinny ties, Atari 2600s, and Rubik's Cubes, '' will perform during the AMA's ceremony on ABC in January - if it wins the contest. Until then, you can catch them at the Lucky Dog in Worcester Sept. 7 and the Linwood Grille in Boston the following night.
