The Cautions (debut CD Review)

Here's a band that picks up where Weezer left off. Their style may be a little heavier, but still has the melodic pop appeal and hook infested charm that is expected. The lyrics are a little quirky and sometimes a humorous blend of wit and charm. The music has that same sort of appeal. Songs like 'Out Of Print' have a smart lyrical perspective of a broken relationship, but with that humorous wit that I came to expect from the rest of this album. All in all, I found this music to be fun and a great album for lifting the spirits. The Cautions is one of the bands that make it easy to fall in love with their music. It should be a crime to have this much charm on one album. Then again, not many artists have this much charm to give.
